Trees have been around since the dawn of time. Our ancestors evolved from the ancient forests that protected them until the time came to utilize the trees to make life more comfortable. This was a double edged sword. In a time when mankind was more in tune with his surroundings he considered trees sacred. Not only did they afford materials for buildings to procted them but also fuel to keep them warm.

The oldest known lucky charms were made from wood. Trees could aid a person both medicianally and physically. A bow made from Yew or Ash could provide much needed food. The trunks of trees were used to support immense structures that are now made from stone.

What you are about to see are the Spirits of those Trees, the same trees our ancestors once worshipped.

This book was born out of the necessity to get everyone whoever thought about wood carving actually carving.  I have many woodcarving books at home which all look the business BUT fail miserably to deliver what it says on the front cover. My book ‘How to carve Tree Spirits’ is designed to aid those without a workbench or much space.  You will also get to see close-ups in full colour as the Tree Spirit takes shape.

The beauty also being that each cut tells you what sort of tool to use and how to use it.  At the back of the book is a list of tools along with the cost of each one and where to purchase them.
